What Is a Chocolate Gift Tower? How to Choose the Right One
A chocolate gift tower is two or more gift boxes stacked and tied together with one satin ribbon, so a single gift will hold several kinds of chocolate. Ours run from two boxes and 15 pieces at $59 to six boxes and more than 100 pieces at $284. A tower ships to one address for the same flat rate as a single box, arrives in 2 to 8 days, and comes apart into boxes the recipient can share or keep.
One of our customers wrote: "Yes, I buy gift towers for myself, thank you very much :) The fruit squares are pure flavor in the best consistency of chewy/soft/firm. The figs are fantastic! I'd definitely drink the whiskey ganache filling, if that wouldn't send me to an early grave. And the Every Flavor box is always a good choice." That's a tower in one paragraph: three boxes, three different things, one person who liked all of them. This guide covers what's in ours and how to pick one.
What's in a tower
Each layer is one of our regular boxes, in its own packaging, with its own tag. We stack them smallest on top, tie the stack with a wide brown satin ribbon printed with our name, and finish it with a bow. The recipient unties one ribbon and has two, three, four, or six separate boxes.
That's the practical difference from a single large box. A tower gives someone a box of bees for the desk, a box of figs for the evening, and a box of Every Flavor squares for the family, instead of one assortment that has to please everyone at once.
How to choose
Count the people. Two boxes feed one or two people for a week, or a small household for a weekend. Three boxes suit a family. The four- and six-box towers are for an office, a party, or a big holiday table.
Start from what they like. Our boxes fall into a few families, and most towers mix two or three of them:
- Figs. Spanish figs filled with a whiskey ganache and dipped in dark chocolate.
- Honey caramel bees. A liquid salted honey caramel in a dark chocolate shell, hand-painted. No alcohol.
- Every Flavor squares. Ganache in ten flavors, from garden mint to Molokai ginger, in boxes of 6, 15, 28 or 56.
- Ladybugs. Raspberry, mint, and honey-lavender ganache in hand-painted shells.
- Fruit squares. Pâte de fruit in six fruits. No chocolate, which makes them the layer for the person who claims not to like chocolate.
- Caramels, tortoises, toffee, and peanut butter. The nutty, chewy layers.
Then pick a price. The list below runs from $59 to $284. Shipping is a flat $15.95 or $19.95 per address, however tall the tower, so a bigger tower to one address costs no more to ship than a single box.

A tower you build yourself
If none of the 27 is quite right, call us at 1.800.747.4808 and we'll stack any of our boxes into a tower for you.
How does a tower travel?
A tower ships in one carton to one address and is at the door 2 to 8 days after we send it. In warm weather the carton carries ice packs and insulation. One customer sent towers "to several friends and relatives for Christmas and garnered rave reviews, including a chocolate-loving couple in their seventies and eighties."
Once it arrives, each box keeps on its own terms: the bees for 8 weeks at room temperature; the ganache pieces (the Every Flavor squares, the figs, the ladybugs, and the cherries) for 10 days at room temperature or 5 weeks in the refrigerator; the fruit squares, wrapped and refrigerated, for up to 3 months.
Questions we're asked about gift towers
What is a chocolate gift tower?
Two or more of our gift boxes, each in its own packaging, stacked and tied with one satin ribbon. The recipient unties the ribbon and has separate boxes to share or keep.
How many people does a tower serve?
The smallest towers hold 15 to 21 pieces, enough for one or two people. The middle of the range holds 25 to 49 pieces and suits a family. The four- and six-box towers hold 55 to more than 100 pieces, for an office or a party.
Does a tower cost more to ship than a box?
No. A tower to one address ships for the same flat $15.95 or $19.95 as a single box.
Can I choose which boxes go in a tower?
Yes. Call us at 1.800.747.4808 and we'll build one from any of our boxes.
Can I put a company logo on a tower?
Yes. A full-color Logo Card, $1 per gift, tucks under the ribbon and is the option made for towers. Allow one week.
