These tortoises are different in the nuts and the flavors in the caramel. I really love both flavors. Note the cinnamon and the maple are very noticeable so they really are NOT like the typical turtle. The nuts are crunchy as they should be where many a turtle I have eaten has stale nuts and rock hard caramel. I too am a fan of the caramel bees and every flavor box. Thanks and keep up the excellent chocolate making. I have to order my chocolates on line but they always arrive quickly and in excellent condition.The superior relative to the humble turtle

People, these things are flat-out incredible. We have loved everything we have eaten from J&K (with the exception of the pumpkins), but these are truly incredible. I expected to love the cashews, and the cinnamon scented caramel is delicately balanced, but the pecan tortoises were the winner. The maple caramel didn't taste like the syrup, but rather like a deeper, more complex caramel. Truly a treat. Love that we can buy these at local farmers' markets!
