After a few years of careful experimentation, Chef Angela has finally found the perfect balance of gourmet chocolate and CBD oil to create a decadent 70% dark chocolate truffle with just a subtle touch of earthy, herbal CBD.

What is CBD?

CBD (cannabidiol) is a naturally occurring compound found in the cannabis plant. It is not psychoactive like THC, and has become popular in recent years due to its potential health benefits. CBD may contribute to reduced inflammation and have a positive impact on mood and relaxation—much like the benefits of dark chocolate, which has been shown to have both antioxidant and mood-elevating effects!

Why CBD Truffles?

We aren't aiming to create some kind of "health food" with these delectable truffles. With intensely rich dark chocolate ganache paired with the subtle earthy flavor of full-spectrum CBD oil, we simply aim to create a truly uplifting treat as the perfect pick-me-up for any occasion.

What does Full-Spectrum mean?

The CBD we use in our chocolates is extracted from hemp without using any solvents or chemicals and is minimally processed to ensure that it contains the FULL spectrum of all the naturally occurring compounds found in the hemp plant, including other cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids.

Some research suggests that the presence of other cannabinoids—including trace amounts of THC—may enhance the effects of CBD, working together to provide a greater benefit than any one compound alone. The terpenes and flavonoids found in full-spectrum CBD may also have their own potential benefits for reducing inflammation and improving mood.

Why pick Full-Spectrum CBD?

While it's true that cannabidiol can be extracted from hemp and processed into CBD isolate to create an almost flavorless food additive, we think the total plant extract is a much more interesting addition to our truffles, and better suited to our overall philosophy!

We use premium Valrhona chocolate, source real ingredients instead of artificial flavors, and create all of our confections in small batches without any added preservatives—and we expect the same from the farms where we source our CBD.

Do these truffles have THC / Will they get me 'high'?

The full-spectrum CBD oil we use does contain trace amounts of THC alongside all the other cannabinoids and terpenes, and it has been tested to ensure that it falls well under the legal limit and only contains less than 0.3% THC.

Our CBD truffles will not have any noticeable psychoactive effects, even if you were to indulge with a whole box at a time, and they can be legally shipped anywhere in the US without any problems.
